China Queer Independent Films (CQIF) was founded by a group of queer filmmakers, artists, critics and activists in March, 2008. CQIF aims to improve LGBT people’s self-identity and visibility in society; to challenge the discriminatory representation of LGBT people in mainstream media and films through the creation, screening and promotion of independent films; and to strive for the freedom of expressing different sexual orientations and sexual identities. 

 

 

 

中國酷兒獨立影像小組成立於2008年3月，由一群酷兒電影人、藝術家、評論者和社會活動家發起創辦。旨在通過影像方式，提高同志（LGBT）人群的自我認同及其在大眾中的可見度；通過獨立電影的創作、放映和推廣，挑戰主流媒體和電影中對於同志人群的歧視性表現，努力爭取性傾向以及性身份認同的表達自由。
