Lala Camp

Lala Camp is a cross-regional leadership conference for lalas in Mainland China organized by a trans-regional lala organization, which is made up of activists from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. It seeks to facilitate conversations and to build strong relationships among lesbians, bisexual, and transgender activists throughout Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Lala Camp was first organized in 2007 and is now organized as an annual 2-3 day event in different places in Mainland. It provides training to lala activists on organizational structure, volunteer management, and project planning. It also allows participants to explore issues such as feminism, queer theory, transgender issues, theater, sex, media, advocacy, and LGBT movements throughout Asia. It aims at providing lesbian individuals and emerging lesbian groups a platform for capacity building, information sharing and support.
