China Rainbow Media Awards was launched by Beijing Gender Health Education Institute, Sex/Gender Education Forum at Sun Yat-sen University, PFLAG China, Common Language (tongyu), Danlan, Beijing LGBT Center,  Les+ magazine, China Queer Independent Films, Guangzhou Chiheng LGBT Center and Media Monitor for Women Network.

 

 

Since 2011, China Rainbow Media Awards has become an annual event. Through its independent, fair position, it sorts out, identifies and acknowledges media outlets and individuals that objectively report on LGBT issues. It encourages media workers to report on gay news in an objective and in-depth manner, thus creating an environment with more inclusive, diverse and objective media representation of LGBT persons.

 

 

 

中國彩虹媒體獎由北京紀安德諮詢中心、中山大學性別教育論壇聯合les＋、同性戀親友會、同語、淡藍、北京同志中心、中國獨立酷兒影像、（智同中國）廣州同志中心以及婦女傳媒監測網絡等多家機構共同發起。

 

 

中國彩虹媒體獎從2011年起每年舉辦，以獨立、公正的立場，梳理、發現並鼓勵客觀報道同志議題的媒體和個人。旨在引導中國內地的新聞從業者客觀、深入地報道同志議題，爲同志人群創造更具包容性的、多元且客觀的輿論環境。
