廣州新媒體女性網絡
Founded in 2004 by a group of media professionals, Guangzhou New Media Women Network is a volunteer program advocating gender equality in the media. It was officially registered as a private non-enterprise unit under the name of “Sijin Culture Research Center” in 2013.
The Network is dedicated to gender mainstreaming in communities practicing journalistic professionalism. It holds exhibitions, seminars, lectures, journalist salons and workshops for news workers related to feminism in the Pearl River Delta Region; spreads ideas of gender equality and ways of achieving it through the media and personal networks; advances local legislation and policy advocacy related to gender; advocates public monitoring of the media from a gender perspective; and puts journalists and editors in contact with experts of women’s and gender issues.
廣州新媒體女性網絡成立於2004年，是廣州一群媒體人發起的聚焦於性別平等媒體倡導的志願項目。2013年，正式登記為民辦非企業單位「思瑾文化研究中心」。
廣州新媒體女性網絡致力於在新聞專業主義社群中進行社會性別主流化工作，定期在珠三角地區主辦各種與女性主義有關的展覽、研討會、講座、記者沙龍和新聞人工作坊，通過媒體和人際傳播性別平等理念與實踐方法，並促進本地與社會性別相關的立法與政策倡導，倡導公眾從社會性別角度批評和監測傳媒，並幫助記者編輯連結婦女與性別領域的專家資源。
